The three kiwis cracked up laughing, spluttering and rolling around on the ferns beneath them. "So the girl as she lifted the lid...." The kiwi talking was interrupted by laughter from the other two kiwis. "What's all the racket?!" squawked toucan from the tree above them. "Okay get this.... This girl goes to pick up a box for the mail and a bird flys out of the box!" They all started laughing again. "What's so funny about that?!" Toucan was really confused, why did they think the joke was so funny?! Confused, he flew away ignoring the laughter from below.

Poor Toucan!! I love this story Alyssa, it sums up that feeling when you don't get the joke brilliantly! A super effort with punctuation, especially the speech marks - well done! A really unusual take on the prompt - please keep up the hard work!!
